Instant Hire started servicing Australia’s Hire needs 25 years ago from a small yard in Ingleburn, NSW. Back then a staff of just 3 quickly earned a reputation for the best customer service and great value for money. It didn’t take long for the word to get around, and before long a large group of loyal customers (many of whom are still with us today) were visiting Instant Hire for all of their plant and equipment requirements. In 1984, Instant Hire opened their first City branch at Redfern. It was to become a huge success thanks to the same quality service and value for money that had worked so well at Ingleburn along with an unmatched range of modern, reliable equipment and experienced well trained staff. Instant Hire soon became the major supplier to some of the biggest projects at that time including the Darling Harbour Project and the Queen Victoria Building restoration.

1986 saw the opening of the Parramatta Branch, which gave the company three strategic locations to service all of Sydney’s hire equipment requirements. Concentrating on the construction industry, Instant Hire continued to grow and despite the economic downturn of the early nineties, the company continued to increase its presence in the hire and rental market. In the later part of the nineties Instant Hire played a major role in the supply of plant and equipment to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.The turn of the century didn’t slow the progression of Instant Hire. With branches opening at Yarraville and Oakleigh South in Melbourne, Bowen Hills in Queensland, and Brookvale in Sydney, the company became a major supplier across the entire Eastern Seaboard.

The Present

In November 2005, Instant Hire was bought by a 100% Australian owned trust. It is now positioned amongst a group of dynamic companies, all of whom compliment each other in the services and products they provide. The company is now able to provide the complete one stop shop for all of our customer’s requirements. We have the largest range of hire equipment available. This includes; General Plant and Equipment, Scaffolding, Site Amenities, Access equipment, Compaction, Major Plant and Excavation, Fencing and Traffic barriers, Power generation, Pumps and Air Compressors. As the complete Hire provider, Instant Hire is always looking to build our base of products and continues to invest millions of dollars into new equipment to keep up with the demands of our clients and to keep our fleet of equipment new and reliable.

Instant Hire has continued to grow its team of experienced, customer focused staff. All Instant Hire managers boast at least 3 years of Industry experience, some as much as 30 years! Even our delivery drivers are trained in the use and maintenance of our products to ensure they are able to assist if required on site. Every Instant Hire account is allocated a dedicated Account Manager who is constantly monitoring every aspect of your account to ensure there are few if any hiccups along the way.
